Studio XFINITY Fun

Self-directed and docent-lead activities featured at the Comcast flagship store. Experience features up to 15-person multiplayer games played on tablets and a large central screen.
The activities and games created awareness of Comcast's massive digital content library and remain totally entertaining. The toughest aspect of the design was how the games and activities fit in to the overall experience. It was necessary to allow for both active and passive customer engagement, thus the need for apps that were both facilitated and self-directed. We found that the apps were exciting and interesting not just to the customers and the stakeholders but also to the store staff. This project received a great deal of positive feedback.

My Projects are Expansive

ESC

An innovative, live 30-person game theater that combines theatrics with local-multiplayer energy. Games are collaborative or competitive.
Besides the aggressive development schedule, we simaultaneously developed and successfully deployed 7 in-house and 2 independently produced games. Furthermore, the games we created can be played with 10-30 players, which is quite a feat. We designed the whole experience, from theatrical lighting to docent scripting.

Propaganda Lander

Arcade-style space lander game. Highly addictive gameplay is frenetic and challenging.
The small studio that I had worked at and received my inital education in game development successfully released an independently funded and developed app that was polished, intelligent and charming. We did so in a short time period by connected with NYC's creative talent. It was an informative experience in which I first became familiarized with iOS app deployment.

LEGO City: Space Launch

Construct LEGO rockets and blast them into space. Created for a partnership between NASA and LEGO in promotion of the LEGO City: Space product line.

Besides working with two dream clients, this game was on of the first I designed for a younger crowd. We were pleased in our ability to layer science into the tactile building sills of LEGO to create an imaginative space for kids to play and experiement. I found each playtest full of suprising information and presepective on the deftness and adaptabilty of children.
